Buyers Beware!
Buyers beware! Haven’t we all learned this warning before… a sad story. The other day, I struck up a conversation with a lady while waiting in a doctor’s office. She had moved to Charlotte from the New England area. She was retired and caretaker for her elder sister. They moved here to be closer to family, climate, and… lower cost of living. They bought a house together, new construction, directly from the developer in Union County without a Buyer’s Agent representing them. After many construction delays and excuses they finally closed three months ago. Now they are worried that they made a bad investment. Their home is one of many homes in an unfinished subdivision surrounded by vacant lots, over grown weeds, unfinished homes, foreclosures, etc. Sad they didn’t work with a Broker/Realtor to help guide them to make a better choice in this stage of their lives.
